SK STUDIO OUT + ABOUT | NYFW FW24: BISHME CROMARTIE + LAURENCE BASSE

NYFW is always a great time t check out upcoming collections. I like to make a note on whether there will be pieces to include in a future issue of Athleisure Mag or other projects that are taking place. During this season, 2 of my favorite shows took place on the same day and both were Project Runway alumni! Bishme Cromartie showed his collection as a presentation at The Ritz Carlton NoMad. This Project Runway winner had a stunning collection that included red, white, and black pieces. His focus on Avant Garde Streetwear is always fun to see from season to season.

Later on that night, we made our way to the Paramount Building to see Laurence Basse’s runway show which is filled with amazing leather and fur pieces throughout the show. You can check out the FEB ISSUE #98 which includes an interview with her about her collection, this show, and a recap of all the shows that I saw!

Although it is a lot of fun to watch a number of shows each season, it’s also important to have a great meal and some time away. We ended our NYFW FW24 season with an amazing meal at il Pellicano! We had the pleasure of doing our JAN ISSUE #97 cover here with Prime Video star of Reacher, Maria Sten. I enjoyed styling this shoot and I love how the restaurant came through in this photoshoot. So we defintiely wanted to swing by to have an amazing meal and I have to say that their Cacio Pepe was phenomenal!
