SK STUDIO EDIT | MARCH MADNESS 2021
Being from Indianapolis, I grew up being a huge sports fan and when you talk about having a hometown that has its professional sports team, the headquarters for the NCAA and a place that is known to hold a number of qualifying events leading up to the Olympics - I couldn’t help but to have a passion for a wide variety of sports. Although boxing is my favorite sport, I also love basketball, curling, baseball, football, soccer (I was a cheerleader for the MLS MetroStars which is now known as Red Bull New York) and since coming to NYC back in 2002, I became a fan of more sports including surfing, snowboarding, volleyball and more.
This time of year brings one of my favorite moments - March Madness. I went to Indiana University during the Bobby Knight years. There’s something about college basketball that’s always great, especially when you know you could be seeing people that will become major players in the NBA. This year’s Final Four will take place in my hometown of Indianapolis. Last year, due to COVID-19, the games were cancelled, so to be able to have this tournament is exciting. Although I’m bummed that my Alma Mata will not be in the big game this year, I’m always excited to see the collegiate athletes put it all on the line and to crown the winner! Today’s Selection Sunday kicks off all those that will get the opportunity to join the Big Dance. As soon as it was available, I headed over to CBS Sports to make my bracket and I have Georgetown (coached by one of my favorites, Patrick Ewing), taking it all! If you want to know the schedule, head over to the NCAA’s site to see what the next few days looks like and then get your brackets ready!
