Growing up, without a doubt, summer was my favorite season. Who didn’t like being out of school, having warm weather and those long days ahead of them? As I grew up, I started realizing that there were some serious joys to fall! You get the benefit of warm weather as well as getting into chilled breezes that allow you to layer, you’re less concerned about getting sweaty and there’s something about enjoying all of this while seeing the changes of the leaves and football season!
With all of that in mind, along with all of us navigating the current times, I find that celebrating the moment that we’re in now is essential. I’ve never believed that certain shoes or accessories should only be worn during certain occasions and with all this time indoors, an errand can be a glam errand. That’s not to say that you’ll see me rocking a gown when I’m randomly out and about, but I will sport an amazingly decadent kimono!
When it comes to my go-to’s from an accessory standpoint, I love to incorporate my always staples - Lagos (some of my collection includes: Black Caviar Silver Station Ceramic Caviar Bracelet, Black Caviar Single Station Ceramic Diamond Bracelet, Smart Caviar 18K Rose Gold and Stainless Steel Watch Bracelet and 2 rings that aren’t currently on the website that I love wearing), Accordian Travel Wallet by Dagne Dover, Virgins Saints and Angels - I’ve added in my own line, Kimmie Vincent (the Tweed Pink Box Plaid face mask, Washington Ave Mala agate lariate necklace and my Terra Ave face mask agate chain). I’m not someone who tends to wear earrings and although my ears are pierced, I’m obsessed with these Tassel Earrings that I found on Etsy from ROOTAbeads. I love that these pieces work really well whether you’re rocking a tee and denim, a slip dress or any look that’s casual as well as to those looks that are dressed up. I don’t wear a fragrance a lot as my lotions are scented, but I do like a good fragrance and right now, MCM’s perfume is a favorite and is perfect for this time of year. If I’m out and about, I always have headphones on and since this look incorporated earrings, I switched up my over ear phones for my Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro’s which just came on and fit so well in my ears when I wear this model.
Brunch is a key meal whether you’re enjoying it safely at your favorite restaurant or are making it at home. On this day, it was about having a home brunch. I’m a big believer in planning a fun menu so I have a few ideas/themes that are in my Moleskine notebook and I highly suggest getting BREAKFAST: The Cookbook, that focuses on this particular meal. I happened to meet the author at an editor event and loved talking with her about her book. Finally, you need a great cocktail so at the moment, Disarrono Velvet Liqueur has been a favorite of mine that I have enjoyed especially during this time of year!
